My name is Lukáš Navrátil, and I was born in 1974 in the Czech Republic, where I still live today.

For 25 years, I focused on reenacting Plains indians (Crow tribe), an activity I eventually left for many reasons.

Currently, I am involved in fur trade reenacting, specializing in the mountain man era (circa 1830–40). Recently, I have also developed an interest in French Coureurs de bois (late 17th and early 18th centuries).

For 20 years, I made a living by crafting Plains indians reproductions, focusing on demanding clients who valued ultimate historical authenticity and accuracy, top-notch design, and precise craftsmanship.

Although I now create reproductions solely as a hobby, I continue to do braintanning, create beadwork, and experiment with quillwork.

I created this website as a platform to share information, inspiration, and insights about fur trade reenacting. Over time, you will find articles, historical studies, practical advice, and perhaps even more. The site is still under construction, but content will be added regularly, as much as my time and health allow.
